FAQ
Everything You Need to Know Before Upgrading Your GS
What will I feel after the upgrade?
This is where riders notice the biggest difference. After the Moody Badger upgrade, you'll feel:
- A higher, more planted front end — no more "soft" or divey feeling
- Much better control when braking and cornering
- Faster response from the front suspension with less lag
- Smoother ride over bumps, potholes, and corrugations
- Significantly reduced rider fatigue on long rides
Most riders say the bike feels lighter, easier to handle, and far more confidence-inspiring — both on-road and off-road. It doesn't change what your GS is — it unlocks what it should have felt like from factory.
Will this damage my bike or void my warranty?
No — the Moody Badger upgrade is designed to work in harmony with the BMW GS Telelever system, not against it. It reduces constant compression stress on the front suspension, which can actually help extend component lifespan over time. The upgrade does not require permanent modifications and can be installed using standard service procedures. If your bike is still under warranty, we recommend confirming with your dealer, but many riders use the system post-warranty as a performance and longevity upgrade.
Is this only for off-road riding?
Not at all. While the upgrade performs exceptionally well off-road, many riders notice the biggest improvements on-road — especially in braking stability, cornering confidence, and overall ride comfort. It's designed to improve the full riding experience, whether you're touring, commuting, or riding aggressively.
Why is this better than stock suspension?
The OEM setup is designed as a compromise to suit a wide range of riders and conditions. The Moody Badger upgrade refines that system by introducing a progressive triple-spring setup, which improves responsiveness, increases usable travel, and reduces front-end dive. The result is a more controlled, stable, and confidence-inspiring ride — especially under braking, in corners, and on rough terrain. It doesn't replace BMW engineering — it enhances it.
How long does the upgrade last?
The components are designed for long-term durability and to operate within the normal service life of your suspension system. Because the upgrade reduces internal stress on the Telelever setup, it can actually contribute to longer component lifespan when properly maintained. Regular servicing (like any suspension system) will ensure optimal performance over time.
Do you ship internationally & are there import fees?
Yes — we ship internationally. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your location. Please note that international orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, or handling fees depending on your country. These charges are not included in our pricing and are the responsibility of the customer. We regularly ship to riders worldwide.
What does the kit contain?
Each Moody Badger kit includes:
- 2 suspension inserts
- Front fork seals
- Oil seal installation tool
- Shock protector stickers
- Instruction leaflet
Everything you need for a complete front suspension upgrade.
Can I install it myself?
Yes — if you are comfortable performing a standard fork service, you can install the upgrade yourself. The process follows the same steps as replacing fork seals and oil. If you're unsure, we recommend having a qualified technician install it — the process is quick and straightforward.
